VirtualAutocross.com exists to promote simulation racing and autocross competition, and to provide a training arena for those serious about honing their car control skills in the off season. Events include class-based, seasonal autocross competitions, test and tune days, single model challenges, day-long endurance challenges, and more. New events are posted regularly, so check back often for event announcements.
Events are run using Live for Speed, a PC-based racing simulator, and your choice of racing wheel game controller. The "S2" version of Live for Speed can be purchased for around $35 USD and beginner racing wheel controllers can be found for less than $50 used.
VirtualAutocross.com (or VAX as we lovingly call it) was created by a small group of racing and simulation enthusiasts near Birmingham, Alabama in early 2009. The first organized events were held in late 2008 and VAX was officially debuted in February 2009.
VAX is operated by individuals passionate about racing in all forms ... real or simulation. The founders and members have raced in door-to-door competition, autocross events, time trials, dirt rally, hill climbs, karts and most everything in between. This is not a community of "gamers" or "keyboard racers." If you are serious about racing, you'll be among friends here.
